BECOME A MEMBER To begin the process to become a member of the Missouri Association of School Psychologists use the button in the upper right of any page in the website. Apply online or download a printable application. FULL MEMBERSHIP A full member is one who is engaged in the delivery of psychological services and who:  is employed by a school system and whose title is school psychologist, or has certification as a school psychological examiner, or is primarily engaged in the training of school psychologists at a college or university, or is certified as a school psychologist by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), or is currently acting as a consultant or supervisor of psychological services in a school system, or has school psychologist certification from any state and is practicing in Missouri, or is licensed to practice psychology in Missouri and whose primary professional interest is school psychology, or is certified as a school psychologist by the National Association of School Psychologists (NCSP). ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP An associate member is one who has an interest in school psychology but does not meet criteria for full membership. RETIRED MEMBERSHIP A retired member is one who previously met criteria for full membership for a period of five years but is now retired from the field of school psychology or as a psychological examiner. STUDENT MEMBERSHIP A student member is one who spends at least six semester hours in a program that will lead to certification as a school psychologist, or would lead to an advanced degree in School Psychology, or is completing an internship in School Psychology. The opportunity to receive information about and give input to groups dealing with issues relevant to children in the state of Missouri and the practice of school psychological services for those children. Many board and committee members currently serve on various state steering committees and work groups such as Healthy Minds, Healthy Learners, Healthy Schools Steering Committee (children's mental health) and the Education – Mental Health Disaster Readiness Committee. A well-organized MASP PR/Advocacy Committee that has networked with other professional organizations in the state to advocate for children and for school psychology issues.  This committee has developed strong working relationships with DESE, local and state elected officials, and other organizations throughout the state. A GPR liaison to monitor state and national bills that have impact on our profession and the children and families we serve.
